Dinner/dance set to take place on June 21INWOOD — The annual Charles Town High Alumni Association Dinner/Dance Reunion will be held on June 21 at Heritage Hall Banquet Facility in Inwood.
The association was formed in 1987 for all Charles Town High graduates or anyone who attended the school designated as Charles Town High School from 1927-1972. These class years will be honored: 1945, 1950 1955, 1960, 1965, 1970, and 1975.
All members have been notified by either email or snail mail of the June 21 dinner/dance. Anyone who did not receive a notice should call Judy Ott, president, at 304-676-5617 and leave a message.
Even if one cannot attend, a donation to the scholarship fund would be very much appreciated. Anyone wishing to donate to the scholarship fund can send a check to Charles Town High Alumni Association, P.O. 518, Ranson, WV 25438.
The reservations received before June 1 will be $35 per person. Reservations received after that will be $45 per person. Absolute deadline for reservations is June 13.
New Friends Club to meet on June 10MARTINSBURG — The New Friends Club of Martinsburg is a group of adults offering many activities for couples and singles.
Its monthly calendar of events includes book club, Bunco and card games, dining out, happy hour, movies, weekly walks and much more. Anyone new to the area, who has lost a spouse or simply wants to expand their circle of friends is invited to participate.
The group’s feature event is its monthly luncheon meeting, currently scheduled for Tuesday, June 10.

Bark in the Park to take place June 7CHARLES TOWN — The Animal Welfare Society of Jefferson County is having its 17th annual Bark in the Park on June 7 at Jefferson Memorial Park in Charles Town.
It is looking for vendors to set up for the day from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Anyone who would like to set up a booth to display a craft or business (does not need to be animal related), to register or for more information, email jst107@aol.com or visit www.awsjc.org or Facebook for vendor forms.
A 10-by-10-foot vendor space will cost $25. Vendors must provide their own setup. Animal rescues and nonprofits will be provided space free of charge.
Rotary breakfast to take place MondayMARTINSBURG — The Rotary Club of Martinsburg invites the community to War Memorial Park in Martinsburg from 8:30-10:30 a.m. on Memorial Day, Monday, May 26, to enjoy a delicious, free pancake breakfast that includes sausage, sausage gravy and more, while it honors those who have served our great country.
Proceeds will benefit Rotary International’s mission to eradicate polio worldwide. Donations are welcome, and sponsorships are available.
